Browse the map or the hut list, tap any hut to read and hear its history, and tap Directions to navigate to the trailhead. Everything works offline once the app is installed.
In About → Auto-play, turn on "Play stories when I arrive" and a hut's narration starts automatically as you reach it (while the app is open). This uses your location only while the app is in use.
Three featured huts are free to explore. A single one-time unlock opens all 126 huts across New South Wales, Victoria, the ACT and Tasmania — no subscription, ever.
If you've unlocked the full collection and reinstalled or changed device, tap Restore Purchases on the unlock screen or in About.
Alpine weather turns fast and many huts are hours from help with no phone signal — carry proper gear, food, and a map, and tell someone your plan. Huts are shared emergency shelters, not booked accommodation: leave them clean and stocked. Respect closures, fire-damaged sites, and private leases. Check seasonal access before you travel — conditions change.
