By downloading, installing, or using Bao — Bao la Kiswahili ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The App is a single-player and local two-player implementation of Bao la Kiswahili, including an on-device AI opponent with three difficulty levels.
The App offers a single one-time, non-consumable purchase ("Bao Pro", $2.99 USD) that unlocks Hard AI difficulty and local two-player ("Play vs Friend") mode. This is a one-time purchase, not a subscription — it does not renew or expire. Payment is processed entirely by Apple; all billing and refund requests should be directed to Apple.
The App requires an iPhone running iOS 17.0 or later.
All content, design, and code in the App are owned by Quyen Ngo. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the App. Bao la Kiswahili itself is a traditional East African board game in the public domain; no claim of ownership is made over the game or its rules.
The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quyen Ngo is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App.
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
