Cue ("the App") is developed by Quyen Ngo. This Privacy Policy explains how Cue handles your information.

Information Cue Accesses

HealthKit Data

Cue uses Apple HealthKit to read heart rate, heart rate variability, and respiratory rate samples from your Apple Watch. This data is used to recognise moments of physiological arousal so the App can offer a brief grounding cue. HealthKit data is read on-device only and is never sent to any external server.

Motion Data

Cue uses motion data from your Apple Watch to confirm that you are still — and not actively exercising — before triggering a grounding cue. Motion data is processed on-device only.

Subscription Data

When you purchase a Cue subscription, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Cue does not collect or store your payment information.

How Cue Uses Your Information

• To establish your personal physiological baseline over the first week of use
• To detect departures from that baseline that may indicate anxiety arousal
• To trigger and deliver a brief grounding cue at the appropriate moment
• To record locally how often cues fire and how you respond to them, so the detection improves over time
• To save your settings and preferences locally on your device

Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device. This includes:

• Your physiological baseline and trigger history
• Cue activations and your responses to them
• App settings and preferences

No data is sent to any external server. Cue operates entirely on-device with no backend, no cloud storage, no analytics services, and no third-party SDKs.

No Account Required

Cue does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information such as your name or email address.

Audio Cues

The grounding cue audio is bundled with the App and plays through your AirPods (or, if no headphones are connected, falls back to a silent haptic and an on-screen card). Audio is not recorded, transmitted, or shared.

Third-Party Services

• Apple HealthKit: Used to access heart rate, heart rate variability, and respiratory rate. Apple's privacy policy applies to HealthKit data handling.
• Apple StoreKit: In-app subscriptions are processed by Apple. Apple's privacy policy applies.

Data Sharing

Cue does not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties. Your health data never leaves your device.

Data Retention

All data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all your data at any time through the app's Settings or by deleting the App from your device.

Children's Privacy

Cue is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it. You can delete all data through the app's Settings or by removing the App from your device.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
