Browse the map or the mill list, tap any mill to read and hear its history, and tap Directions to navigate there. Everything works offline once the app is installed.
In About → Auto-play, turn on "Play stories when I arrive" and a mill's narration starts automatically as you reach it (while the app is open). This uses your location only while the app is in use.
Three featured mills are free to explore. A single one-time unlock opens all 166 mills across dozens of states — no subscription, ever.
If you've unlocked the full catalogue and reinstalled or changed device, tap Restore Purchases on the unlock screen or in About.
Many mills sit beside creeks, dams, and mill races, or on remote back roads. Check the weather and seasonal access and closures before you go, and confirm opening hours before you travel — access can change.
