Mythsmith is an entertainment app. You photograph an object and the App invents a piece of folklore — a legend, myth, tall tale, or field report — about that object, in a tone pack of your choosing. Everything it produces is deliberate fiction generated by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude).
Legends are made up. They are not true, not factual, and not claims about any real person, place, business, object, or event — even when they sound convincing or mention real-looking names, dates, or locations. Do not rely on any legend as information, and do not present it to others as fact. The App is not a source of historical, news, safety, health, or any other factual information.
Mythsmith is for good-natured, fictional fun. You agree not to use it to create or share content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or that targets a real, identifiable person with damaging false claims, and not to photograph people in order to generate content about them. The App's content guardrails steer legends toward the object or scene, but you remain responsible for how you use and share what you generate.
Mythsmith is free to download and includes 3 free legends. Generating a legend in any tone pack uses one legend credit. When you run out, you can buy additional legend packs through the App Store as one-time, consumable in-app purchases. Credits do not expire and do not auto-renew. There is no subscription. Purchases are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms; refunds are managed by Apple.
To protect the service from abuse, Mythsmith enforces a fair-use daily limit on the number of legends generated per user. If you reach it, the counter resets at midnight UTC. Normal use will not reach this limit.
The App's design and code are owned by Quyen Ngo. Legends you generate are yours to share non-commercially (for example, the legend cards). You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the App itself.
Mythsmith is provided "as is", for entertainment, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quyen Ngo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the App or from reliance on its fictional, AI-generated output.
