Snow Pick ("the App") is developed by Quyen Ngo. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it.
When you open the App and grant permission, the App reads your device's current location using iOS Core Location. Your location is used only on your device to find the nearest ski resorts and to send a coordinate-based weather query to Open-Meteo (see Third-Party Services below). Your location is not sent to any server we operate, not stored, and not linked to any identifier. Each time you open the App or refresh, your location is requested fresh; we do not maintain a location history.
When you buy the Pro Unlock via In-App Purchase, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple. Apple confirms your entitlement to Snow Pick locally on your device using StoreKit. We do not operate a server that receives, processes, or stores any purchase data. We do not receive your name, email, payment card, billing address, or any other personally identifiable information from Apple.
For each ski resort the App ranks, it sends a single anonymous coordinate-based weather query to the Open-Meteo public weather API. These queries contain only the resort's published latitude, longitude, and mid-mountain elevation — nothing about you, your device, or your real-time location. Snow conditions, base depth, temperature, and wind data are returned from Open-Meteo and displayed in the App.
The App does not retain personal data because it does not collect any. A short local cache of the most recent ranked resort list and conditions is kept on your device for fast launch and offline access (cleared when you delete the App).
Snow Pick is intended for general audiences. The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13, because the App does not collect personally identifiable information from anyone.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
