Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Cue ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Cue is an iPhone and Apple Watch app that passively monitors heart rate, heart rate variability, and respiratory rate to recognise moments of physiological arousal, and offers brief grounding cues — short audio prompts played through AirPods or compatible headphones — to support self-regulation. The App is designed as a wellness and mindfulness tool and is not a medical device.

Not Medical Advice

Cue is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The App is intended as a wellness and mindfulness tool only. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or disorder, including anxiety disorders, panic disorder, or post-traumatic stress disorder. If you are experiencing persistent or severe anxiety, panic, or any other mental health concern, consult a qualified mental health professional. Do not rely on Cue as a substitute for professional medical or mental health care.

Crisis Situations

Cue is not designed for crisis intervention. If you are in immediate distress or having thoughts of harming yourself or others, please contact your local crisis line or emergency services:

Subscriptions

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings (iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions).

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. All payments are processed by Apple. Refund requests should be directed to Apple.

Requirements

Cue requires an iPhone running iOS 26.0 or later and an Apple Watch running watchOS 26.0 or later. Detection requires the Watch to be worn with HealthKit permissions granted. AirPods or other Bluetooth headphones are recommended for the audio grounding cue; without headphones, Cue falls back to a silent haptic and an on-screen card.

Intended Use

Cue is intended for adults using the App as a self-directed mindfulness companion. The App is not designed for use during exercise, driving, or operating machinery. The App will not trigger cues during active workouts.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and audio cues in Cue are owned by Quyen Ngo. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the App.

Limitation of Liability

Cue is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quyen Ngo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the App. Detection depends on physiological signals and may not detect all moments of arousal, or may occasionally trigger when no arousal is occurring.

Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by the Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
