By downloading, installing, or using Wok Tonight ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Wok Tonight is a photo-to-recipe iOS app for Asian home cooking. Photograph your fridge or pantry, choose a cuisine (Vietnamese, Thai, or Chinese), and Wok Tonight returns up to three authentic recipes using only the ingredients visible in your photo, plus pantry staples (water, salt, white sugar, neutral oil, white pepper, plain rice).
Recipes and ingredient identifications in Wok Tonight are produced by an artificial intelligence model (Anthropic's Claude). While we aim for high quality and have tuned the prompt for Asian-pantry literacy, AI-generated output may contain inaccuracies, ingredient misidentifications, outdated information, unsafe cooking advice, or culturally imprecise framing. Wok Tonight is not an authoritative source for culinary, nutritional, or food-safety information.
You are solely responsible for the food safety, allergen content, and dietary suitability of any recipe you cook. Wok Tonight cannot reliably detect allergens, gluten, animal products, alcohol, or other ingredients restricted by dietary, religious, or medical requirements. If you have an allergy or dietary restriction, do not rely on the App to identify what is or isn't safe — verify every ingredient yourself before cooking. Wok Tonight may misidentify a visible ingredient; cross-check before using it in food.
The App does not provide nutritional, medical, or food-safety advice. If a recipe instruction conflicts with general food-safety practice (e.g. inadequate cooking temperatures, unsafe ingredient combinations), follow established food-safety guidance rather than the App.
Wok Tonight is a cooking-inspiration tool. It does not provide medical, nutritional, dietary, or food-safety advice. Always follow established food-safety practices and the guidance of qualified professionals for dietary or medical concerns.
Wok Tonight is free to download. Additional photo credits are available through in-app purchases for photo packs as listed on the App Store. Photo packs are consumable in-app purchases — credits are deducted as you use them and do not renew automatically. Pricing and pack sizes may change over time and are always displayed in the App Store at the point of purchase.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. All payments are processed by Apple. Refund requests should be directed to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
To protect the service from abuse, Wok Tonight enforces a fair-use daily limit on the number of photo analyses per user. If you hit the limit, the counter resets at midnight UTC. Normal cooking use will not reach this limit.
Wok Tonight requires an iPhone running a supported version of iOS, an internet connection, and permission to access the camera or photo library.
You agree not to use Wok Tonight to: (a) submit images that violate the privacy of others; (b) attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code or model weights from the App or its backend; (c) abuse, overload, or probe the backend service; or (d) use the App in any way that violates applicable law.
All content, design, and code in Wok Tonight are owned by Quyen Ngo. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the App. Recipes generated for your personal cooking may be shared non-commercially; commercial redistribution of recipe output requires written permission.
Wok Tonight is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quyen Ngo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the App, including but not limited to reliance on AI-generated recipes, ingredient misidentification, allergen exposure, foodborne illness, or other adverse health outcomes. Recipe and ingredient-ID quality depends on photo quality, lighting, framing, and the AI model's knowledge, and may be incorrect or incomplete.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
